How this Crossroads tier list is ranked

This hub ranks the seven classic BrickBattle tools in free-for-all Crossroads (max eight players, destructible map). Criteria weight KO potential, map control, forgiveness after a miss, and synergy with beacons / high ground. We are not ranking Roblox catalog rarity or limited UGC — only live fight power on Place 1818.

SRocket Launcher, Superball
ASword, Slingshot
BBomb / Timebomb, Trowel

S-tier tools win neutral and punish grouped spawns. A-tier tools win fair duels and mid-range poke. B-tier tools create space, traps, and cover. C-tier paint tags and annoys but rarely closes alone.

S-Tier — Rocket Launcher & Superball

Rocket Launcher

The Rocket remains the signature Crossroads equalizer. Splash deletes clustered fighters on Castle bridges, Temple stairs, and Den chokepoints. Skilled players aim at feet and walls for splash when a direct hit is awkward. Rockets also reshape the destructible map — opening sightlines or denying soft cover. Weaknesses: projectile travel time, self-splash if you fire into a doorway you are entering, and dry stretches while you rotate to the next pickup.

When to prioritize rockets: opening a match, breaking a Tower camp, finishing Hunt KOs against stacked opponents, or clearing a beacon contest. Pair with sword cleanup as a Rocket Main or Hybrid.

Superball

The Superball is the other S-tier star: fast throws, nasty bounces, and huge punish potential in open courtyards and trampoline chaos near the Tower. Mastery is about predicting caroms off walls and floors rather than only throwing raw midair shots. A single well-timed ball can delete a low-health runner that escaped your rocket.

When to prioritize Superball: long sightlines across Temple and Castle yards, finishing weakened targets, and “sniper” rotations described in Superball Sniper play.

Together, Rocket + Superball define the high skill ceiling. If you only learn two tools before a Hunt session, learn these two. More KO patterns: How to get KOs.

A-Tier — Sword & Slingshot

Sword

The Sword is honest, lethal in melee, and perfect for beacon scraps where rockets would self-damage. Lunge timing, approach angles, and denying the enemy’s first swing separate duelists from free kills. Sword rewards map knowledge — cut through Thieves’ Den interiors or Castle halls where rockets are awkward.

Role fit: Sword Duelist. Also the best panic swap when a rocket user closes distance on you.

Slingshot

Slingshot offers rapid, precise mid-range pressure. It shines when you can track strafing targets across roofs and cliffs without committing to sword range. Chip damage sets up Superball or Rocket finishes. It is slightly less “delete button” than S-tier explosives and balls, but in disciplined hands it farms consistent damage.

Role fit: poke-heavy Hybrids and players warming up aim before switching to Superball.

B-Tier — Bomb / Timebomb & Trowel

Bomb / Timebomb

Bombs control space. Cook and place them on stairs, doorways, and beacon approaches so pursuers eat the blast. They are weaker in pure open-field duels against a competent rocketeer, but excellent for denying a revive path or guarding a corner while you grab another tool. Destructible terrain means a bomb can also open a new angle — or strand you if you blow your only cover.

Trowel

The Trowel builds instant walls and platforms. Builders create rocket cover, block sword rushes, and craft unexpected high ground near the Tower trampoline or Castle battlements. Trowel is “B” because walls are temporary against splash and determined diggers, yet a smart fort still wins local fights. See Builder / Trowel for habits that keep walls useful instead of ornamental.

C-Tier — Paintball Gun

Paintball marks, irritates, and occasionally finishes a sliver of health, but it lacks the burst of rockets, balls, and swords. Use it when nothing else is nearby or to track a runner’s path with paint. Do not main Paintball if your goal is efficient Hunt KOs — swap to S or A tools as soon as they spawn.

Loadout advice by goal

  • Hunt KO farming: Rocket first, Superball second, Sword for cleanup — Crossroads Tower and How to get KOs.
  • Learning the game: Sword + Slingshot until movement feels good — Getting Started and Controls.
  • Map control sessions: Rocket + Trowel to reshape and hold quarters — Map guide.
  • Chaos FFA: Superball + Rocket; ignore Paintball until spawns are empty.

Beacons and tier relevance

Team beacons heal and recolor. Touching a second different beacon can kill you. S-tier players often die to beacon mistakes more than to paintballs — path your heals deliberately. Beacon fights favor Sword (tight spaces) and Rocket (if you can splash without eating it).

How often this list changes

Classic Crossroads balance is stable compared with modern live-ops games. Tier shifts usually come from player skill trends (Superball bounce metas, trampoline cheese) or event crowding during Hunt weeks, not from silent weapon patches. Recheck Updates during major Roblox events. Detailed justifications stay on tier-list/weapons.

  • Players Hub — Rocket Main, Sword Duelist, Superball Sniper, Builder, Hybrid

  • Codes Hub — reminder that Classic has no promo codes
  • Scripts Hub — why you should not “tier skip” with cheats

Master S-tier timing, keep an A-tier melee swap, treat B-tier as utility, and leave C-tier as filler. That is the Crossroads weapon meta in one page.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is S-tier in Crossroads?

Rocket Launcher and Superball. They offer the best KO power and map impact in classic free-for-all.

Is the Sword still worth using?

Yes — Sword is A-tier and wins close beacon fights and hallway duels where rockets are risky.

Why is Paintball Gun C-tier?

It lacks burst damage compared with rockets, superballs, and swords, so it rarely closes fights alone.

Where is the detailed weapon ranking article?

Open the Weapons Tier Breakdown under this hub for extended notes on every tool.

Does the Hunt event change the tier list?

Weapons stay the same; crowded servers just make splash tools and strong neutrals even more valuable for KO quests.
